The Joint Stock Company "Park of Nuclear Technologies", the sole founder of which is the NJSC "Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov", together with the private partner "Kazelectromash" LLP, which is part of the Association of Cable Factories of Kazakhstan, created the startup company "BETA IZOL" LLP . The private partners participation share in the authorized capital is 75%.
In July 2022, an application for grant funding was submitted for the most promising projects for the commercialization of the results of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities under the project “Modification of polymer cable insulation in a protective environment at the ELV-4 electron accelerator.”
On November 24, 2022, by decision of the National Scientific Council, the application was approved for funding.
Currently there is a registered trademark and the result of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities. It is planned to obtain a patent for the invention and a certificate of the domestic manufacturer CT-KZ.
Cable and wire products are sold through the startup company BETA IZOL LLP under the BETA IZOL trademark (Certificate No. 14 - 04/05/2019).
The essence of radiation crosslinking is the irradiation of polymer cable insulation, as a result of which the insulation acquires new physical and chemical properties. The radiation source is the ELV-4 electron accelerator with an energy of 0.2 to 2.5 MeV and a power of up to 50 kilowatts. As a result of radiation exposure (crosslinking), cables and wires acquire:
All cable and wire products that have undergone radiation treatment (crosslinking) are characterized by increased reliability and withstand extreme loads during operation in various adverse conditions.
